9 Roadside Attractions (2024)
Inspired and stolen from Richard Long's '9 Standing Stones', '9 Roadside Attractions' applies a pocketable concertina design so that you may take the memories of your visit anywhere with you. Unlike Long's stones, unmoving and natural stature, 'Attractions' is temporary in its position, and so only available for visitation within a small period of time. Although the organic pieces will no longer be visible elsewhere, the more plastic installs will be on loan elsewhere for 100s of years. The work is produced in a practice of 'seeing', or 'noticing', but is also reminded of an impact we may have on our surroundings.
